Mittens retain significantly more heat than fingered gloves at the same insulation level; the mitten design keeps fingers together to share body heat rather than isolating each one.

The 100-gram Thinsulate lining is 2.5x heavier than the 40-gram lining in the Fleece Lined short wrist — designed for below-30°F conditions where fingered gloves are insufficient. The deerskin outer stays pliable in extreme cold without conditioning. Outseam stitching for interior comfort. Double-layer palm adds durability at the highest-wear point. Elasticized wrist cuff.
